THE NEED

I’ve walked through a ton of offices during my 10 years in NYC. It’s not uncommon these days to see people at their desk drinking tea, but it is rare to find them drinking loose leaf tea. Usually, they resort to a tea bag so they don’t have to go through some complicated process with all sorts of steeping contraptions that create a mess. There’s a need for functional loose leaf teaware that actually looks good, can find a home on the workdesk, and be used for daily steeping.

So we did it: created a tea pot that ACTUALLY LOOKS GOOD, and is functional for work or home. Then, we made sure it was fit for the solo experience, yet adaptable for a shared experience. Finally, we wanted it to feel authentic, like a new beginning—so the name ALPHA was born.
